Sumatra PDF is powerful, small, portable free PDF and eBook reader for Windows. The program also open Open XML Paper Specification, Comic Book (CBZ and CBR), DjVu, EPUB, XPS, CHM, CBZ and CBR, and MOBI (ePub, Mobi) files.

Sumatra PDF Reader has a minimalistic design, with its simplicity attained at the expense of extensive features. It´s small and starts up very fast. Simplicity of the user interface has a high priority to give use the pest expedience. It´s designed for portable use: it´s just one file with no external dependencies so you can easily run it from external USB drive.

The program provides all the standard features of a PDF reader. From ‘View’ option you can select from Single Page, Facing, Book View, Show Page Continually, Presentation and Full Screen mode. You can navigate through pages by Next and Previous, First and Last using keyboard and jump to a specific page number. It gives the option to search text in PDF file with keyword and select and copy any text from them.

The "full installer" version includes a browser plugin for Firefox, Chrome and Opera (Internet Explorer is not supported). It's not installed by default so you have to use installer's options button to install it. You might need to configure the browser too: enable Sumatra's PDF plugin and disable PDF plugin from other programs.

You need to disable PDF plugins from other programs (e.g. Adobe Reader or Foxit) if you have them installed. Use Tools/Add-ons menu. Switch to Plugins tab, enable Sumatra PDF plugin and disable other PDF plugins.

Sumatra PDF Reader for Chrome
Newer version of Chrome have a PDF plugin built-in. If you want to use Sumatra's plugin, you need to disable Chrome's plugin (and potentially plugins from other apps like Adobe Reader or FoxIt).

Type about:plugins in the address bar, make sure to enable Sumatra PDF plugin and disable other PDF plugins.
